Thought I’d share an idea we had on our last trip to Walt Disney World! My husband and I loved the Kingdom Hearts games (which feature Disney and Final Fantasy characters in a neat story, very cool), and a little over a year ago they started printing a trading card game for it in the US (think Pokemon, only better 🙂 ).
The game is great and the cards are beautiful — with a side benefit, there’s a bunch of Disney trading cards out there now! We got several characters to sign their cards, which makes for a wonderful (and cheap!) souvineer. More sets have come out since we went with a lot of the princesses and Mickey in a cool black robe as The King (if you played the game, you know!). We’re really excited about the newest set that is planned for this June — it includes a really neat old style Mickey and lots of Pirates including Captain Jack! Can’t wait to pick these up and get them signed!
You can find these cards at your local game/comic book store, or I’ve also seen them in Barnes and Noble, Borders, Target or even Walmart, just keep an eye out for packs marked “Kingdom Hearts TCG”. You can also get them online of course, which can be the best option if you’re after a specific card — after all, it’s a trading game so you never know what cards you’re getting in a particular pack. I’d encourage you to try the game too, it’s a lot of fun. 🙂
